Health insurance companies outright cheat many people who develop chronic disease that will cost a lot of money to treat them. Historically, with newly found breast cancer are simply denied further insurance once their diagnosis is made. This is know as recission, and it is illegal, but they do it anyway and usually get away with it because these individuals cannot afford to fight back in court. Now there are instances where when the new diagnosis of HIV is made that some insurance companies are dening further coverage to these people. Insurance companies have admitted that they do this "to be competitive with other insurance company's insurance rates." Morality has nothing to do with their business practicess. The responsibility of insurance companies is return on investment for their stock holders. A case report is described.
